NEC Edu Mount system: Short throw Projection solution

NEC Display Solutions offers height-adjustable projector solution for the education sector

EduMount-WT610-Image-MyPicture

Munich, 25 th February 2008 - With the Edu Mount system, NEC Display Solutions is offering an innovative and flexible "all-in-one" short throw projector solution for white board applications in the education sector. The complete package consists of the NEC WT610 short-range projector, a wall bracket (Edu Mount) with height-adjustable adapter plate (Edu Move) and an interactive whiteboard. The whiteboard is mounted on the brackets adapter plate. The exceptional flexibility and easy height adjustment of the solution enables participation of small children in the use of the interactive whiteboards as well as easy height positioning for tutors and teachers.

The innovative NEC Edu Mount system is used particularly in environments where space is at a premium. The NEC WT610's patented mirror system enables it to be used to project images with a diagonal of 40-inches at just 5.5 cm from the wall. The whiteboard is fitted underneath the projector bracket and is securely fixed to it with the help of an adapter plate. The complete system is wall-mounted and glides vertically on rails. This has the advantage that it can be individually adjusted to suit the presenter.

The Edu Mount solution is therefore ideally tailored to the requirements of the education sector. The presenter can concentrate entirely on the content of his presentation without being dazzled by the lamp or casting shadows on the image. The short projection distance also enables the system to be used in public display systems such as POS, in boutiques and clubs, in display windows or in small lobbies. These lend themselves to a permanent installation consisting of just the projector and wall bracket - in this case, the adapter plate and whiteboard can be dispensed with.

The Edu Mount features a 5W per channel speaker system for additional sound reinforcement for the classroom or training room environment.

The NEC WT610 is available with an optional W-LAN card, and can also be controlled from a PC without troublesome cables. With its 2,000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of ratio of 3,500:1, the projector produces vivid colours and brilliant images. The cable management system is situated unobtrusively between the wall and the Edu Mount.
