Description

High brightness with extreme efficiency

For long-lasting imaging performance at high brightness with movie-quality colour rendition, the Sharp A201U encapsulates efficiency. Every aspect of its design forges maximum productivity, achieving remarkable performance alongside impressive cost, space and energy saving.

Born of NEC heritage, the A201U presents the same high quality Japanese design and engineering standards as its predecessor, the NEC PA Series, delivering on Sharp/NEC’s promise of quality, service and sustainability. This next generation model utilises legacy PA Series lenses securing against e-waste and reducing costs.

The first and only LCD projector featuring RB laser technology, this innovative solution is highly efficient in producing the most intensely natural tones, minimising power consumption whilst delivering brilliant, almost DCI-P3 colour performance at high brightness levels. Consistently superior imaging quality is safeguarded with an IP5X rated optical engine, sealed against even the finest dust particles and eliminating maintenance demands.

Featuring advanced installation capabilities, easily managed with full ProAssist support, the compact Sharp A201U delivers the reliability, functionality and value as demanded by higher education, corporate, leisure and museum applications.

Benefits

  • No lamp replacement – up to 25,000 h maintenance free operation possible due to Laser Light Source.
  • No filter service required – the enhanced sealed optical laser LCD engine allows a filter-free design, IP5X rated against dust ingress. Brilliant colour brightness is maintained and servicing costs need no longer feature in your budget
  • Compact design – a large venue projector with a comparatively small footprint and light weight design.
  • Impress with vivid colour & contrast – brilliant white and wide colour space with high dynamic contrast supporting HDR10 standard via HDMI interface.
  • Incredible visualisation capabilities – impressive free tilt and portrait installation capability, unique geometric adjustment, picture in picture, tiling and camera based blending.

This is the first and only LCD projector in the 20,000-lumen output class to deliver full DCI-P3, an obvious advantage for color-critical installations even at its WUXGA resolution. What makes it possible is the company's red+blue laser design that adds a red laser to the common blue laser+phosphor approach to broaden the color palate. The XP-A201U is also the new flagship in Sharp's LCD line, with its brightest output yet in that category, and comes with many of the features that have made its lower-tier 3LCD models popular—notably a 20,000-hour, sealed IP6X-certified light engine that makes the projector low-maintenance. Motorized zoom, focus, and lens shift capabilities with lens memory further enhance installation flexibility. On-board edge blending, stacking, and customer command (learning capabilities) are also available.
